The compact radio chip for timing your alpine skiing and biathlon training sessions
The most compact and lightweight transponder on the market
The FxChip is Freelap's radio transponder, worn by the athlete during training.
Compact, lightweight and fully autonomous, it automatically detects Freelap transmitters placed along the course and accurately measures time intervals between each passing point.
The data is then transmitted by radio to the Relay Coach BLE, which records it and then sends it via Bluetooth to the MyFreelap app or to the LED Display.
The FxChip is particularly suited to the following disciplines : alpine skiing and biathlon.
FxChip, the radio transponder for outdoor training
The FxChip allows passages to be timed smoothly, without cables, without handling and without interrupting the session.
Each chip has a unique identifier, allowing each athlete to be automatically identified and several passages or several athletes to be timed within the same session.
It is particularly useful for continuous training sessions, where athletes can perform repeated starts without waiting for the previous athlete to finish the course.
Autonomous
The FxChip has no button : it automatically turns on when in motion and turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Each FxChip has a unique identifier, allowing you to time several athletes simultaneously.

Alpine skiing
In alpine skiing, the FxChip is attached to the back of the skier’s boot using the FxSki strap. It allows you to measure times during slalom, giant slalom or timed passage training sessions, with data transmission to the Relay Coach BLE.
Main uses: slalom, giant slalom, timed passages, split times.

Biathlon
In biathlon, the FxChip allows you to time passages, laps and split times on training courses. It integrates into Freelap setups using transmitters placed on the track and a Relay Coach BLE to retrieve the data.
Main uses: timed laps, split times, repeated passages, specific training sessions.
